L'inizio

Un vero inizio c'è stato alla creazione dell'Yle's Artfolio, dove ospitavo i miei primissimi lavori. La prima versione era dedicata ai pois (polka dots) e potrete vederla, così come tutte le altre, nella sezione Past Version di Mechanical Heart. E' stato difficile ingranare nuovamente, perchè volevo esprimere l'emozione del nuovo dominio in modo che tutti potessero capire quanto tenevo ai miei siti ma, d'altra parte, era difficile creare un layout piacevole da osservare e con un compito tanto grande. La prima versione del dominio nuovo fu, quindi, dedicata a Full Moon (con un'immagine adorabile, che mi è sempre piaciuta da morire).

Il nome

Avevo già in mente di chiamare l'Artfolio con un nome che facesse pensare a qualcosa di materiale, creato dall'uomo. Escludendo Synthetic, ovviamente già usato, sono andata alla ricerca di sinonimi vari fino a quando, cercando sul dizionario 'meccanico', ho letto Mechanic. Lì ho subito deciso che l'avrei chiamato Mechanical Heart, cuore meccanico.

L'artfolio

L'artfolio è nato il 29 maggio 2007, sulla piattaforma Altervista. Dopo averlo chiuso in vista della creazione di Synthetic Dreams, l'ho riaperto il 27 luglio 2007 (7 giorni dopo l'acquisto del dominio) con l'intenzione di aggiungere ogni nuovo lavoro periodicamente. Alcuni mesi dopo ho anche aggiunto molte nuove sezioni che ospitano tutt'ora materiale gratuito e liberamente utilizzabile con l'aggiunta di un link al sito. E' bellissimo portare avanti da così tanto un sito del genere.

Critiche e consigli

Sono ovviamente pronta ad accettare sia critiche costruttive che consigli, per cui se qualcuno volesse farmi sapere cosa pensa del'artfolio, lati positivi e negativi, può contattarmi con il form, la tagboard oppure:

The Beginning

The real beginning was the creation of Yle's Artfolio, where I put my first works. The first version was dedicated to pois (polka dots) and you can see it, like the other ones, in the section Past Version of Mechanical Heart. It was hard to make another headway, because I wanted to tell the emotion for my new domain and tell to everyone how much I love my sites, but, it was hard to create a pleasant layout and with a work so big. The first version of my new domain, so, was dedicated to Full Moon (with a cute picture, that I'll love forever).

The name

I thinked to call it with a material name, created by the man. Excluding Synthetic, obviously already used, i searched various synonymous when, searching on a dictionary 'meccanico', i read Mechanic. I istantly decided to call it Mechanical Heart, cuore meccanico.



The artfolio was born on may the 29th 2007, on Altervista platform. After closing it for the creation of Synthetic Dreams, i reopened it on july the 27th 2007 (7 days after i bought the domain) with the intention of adding every work. Months later I added a lot of new sections where you can find free works, that can be freely utilized, with a link of the site. It's beautiful managing a site like it.

Criticism and advices
